EU ownership and hosting

YardMate is built and operated in the European Union. YardMate Oy is a Finnish company, and the platform's core application infrastructure runs on Hetzner servers located in Finland.

What this means

EU-owned: YardMate Oy is owned and operated from Finland.
Core hosting in Finland: the web application, application database and customer-uploaded platform data are intended to run on infrastructure in Finland.
EU legal framework: our operations are subject to Finnish and EU law, including the GDPR where it applies.

Third-party services

EU hosting does not mean that every supporting network or service provider is Finnish. The application can use specialist providers for email delivery, company and VAT validation, security checks, fonts and other web assets. These providers receive only the information needed for their function. See our Privacy Notice and Data Processing Addendum for the applicable safeguards.

Transparency note. “Core hosted in Finland” describes the primary YardMate application infrastructure. We do not use that phrase to imply that ordinary internet routing or every optional integration remains exclusively inside Finland.
